The famous March of the Clansmen (the only one of its kind worldwide) will leave the village of Bellabeg at 8.00a.m. led by Lonach Patron

March Itinerary:


The Schoolhouse - hospitality supplied by the descendants of the
Innes family. Mr. Innes being a former headmaster of the School in
the early years of the 20th Century, and was a loyal and faithful
Lonach Man.

Candacraig House - hospitality supplied by Mr. Billy Connolly and his family.

Roughpark - The descendents of Dr. Douglas McBain provide the hospitality. Since Dr. McBain's death in 1985 this dram has been provided by his children: Morag Simpson, Mhairi Rae and Jennifer McKilligan.

Tornashean - hospitality provided by Rob Lowry and family.

Bellabeg House - hospitality provided by Mr. R. J. Marsh and
family.

Lonach Hall - hospitality provided by Messrs. G.C. and J. McIntosh.

Following the Highlanders' lunch in the Lonach Hall, the marchers
assemble and march to open the Highland Games at 1.00p.m., marching
around the arena for the gathered masses to absorb the unique sight
which is reminiscent of days prior to the Jacobite uprisings in
1715 and 1745.
