Highland Dancing

Highland Dancing originated in the Scottish Highlands and is traditionally accompanied by the Bagpipes.

Our age groups are 11 years and under, 11 - 15 years and 16+ years.
The organisers accept no responsibility for injury or loss of property.
Changing tents available.
Numbers to be picked up from the boards at 12:45pm.
Competitions begin around 1pm after the Highlanders have exited the arena.
Judges decision is final.
Piping

The solo piping competitions begin at 10.30 am (Piobaireachd) and run throughout the day.
We are very excited for this year's competition and to discover who will be the winner of the Charles Morrison Medal.
The cash prizes for the top-three finishers in the Piobaireachd competition are : 1st: £500, 2nd: £300, and 3rd £200, and the contest will be open to any piper older than 18, with no grading requirement from the Competing Pipers Association.
Competitors are required to prepare 3 tunes for the competition.

We also have a variety of races for children which can be entered on the day are are great fun for the younger competitors.
Hill Race

The Hill Race is roughly 3.2 miles long and sees competitors leave the Main Arena and race to the top of Hill of Cummerton and return.
We have many competitors of all ages who take part in this annual event.
