Is there transport to the games?

Can I bring my dog?
Of course - your four-legged friends are more than welcome to attend with you!
We would only ask that you consider whether your dog likes loud Pipe Bands!
Strathdon is accessible by bus for this year’s Lonach Gathering, with Stagecoach services available to help you travel to and from the Games.
We would encourage visitors to make use of public transport where possible, or if travelling by car, please consider car sharing.

Parking at the Games is free!

Where can I get help on the day?
General help or information - The team in the Information Tent are more than happy to help with any queries - where are my seats? what time are events happening? Where can I buy some whiskey? ... or whatever is important to you!
Programmes - Available from the Information Tent or our programme sellers on the day.
Registering for Events - For Hill Race entries visit the Information Tent
Visit the Secretary's caravan for any other event
Lost Property? - The information Tent can help with this too!
First Aid - A dedicated First Aid tent is located at the main gate from then road.


What time do the events start?
Piping – from 10.30am
Dancing – from 12.30pm
Heavy Events – from 12pm
Light Events – from 1pm
Is there food and drink at the games?
We have several different food and drink options available - sit-down catering tent and several independent Food Vendors.
Of course, you are more than welcome to have your own picnic too!
