The system for camping at Lonach will be changing in 2023. The payment for a caravan, campervan, motorhome or tent pitch will be required to be made online in advance. Additionally, specific numbered pitches for caravans, campervans and motorhomes in the main car park field (Car Park A) will be allocated in advance.
We understand that people who have been camping at Lonach for many years may worry about this change, but we have developed a system which will enable regular campers to be allocated their usual places once payment has been made and a Booking Request Form completed; this will operate very similarly to the previous informal allocation system.
There is limited space for camping in Car Park A but this is generally sufficient for the regular campers who prefer to camp there. Some people choose to camp in the Invernochty field which also provides space for overspill from Car Park A once this is full.
Receipts will be issued digitally and those allocated a pitch in Car Park A will also be notified of their pitch number in advance but please note that this may take up to ten days. A camping co-ordinator will be available on-site on 24 and 25 August 2023 to assist as required with locating pre-allocated pitches. Those with bookings for tents and for the Invernochty field will not have pitch numbers and will be directed to available options on arrival as in previous years.
Priority booking will open on Saturday 1st July (Lonach Members, Lonach Pipe Band Members, Judges and Workers and also regular campers (people who have camped at the games for more than 5 years).
Public booking will open on the 23rd July, please watch this space for further updates.
Any applications made prior to these dates will not be valid and the application will need to be made again when the booking date opens.
Please do not call the secretary, Lauren, about camping as we are segregating camping from the rest of the Lonach administration to avoid overload.
